Nike brought mascot Max to Vegas for Superbowl weekend 2024 showing off the new Air Max DN with an incredible ad running on the Sphere - and we got to bring some extra mischief to the proceedings with the power of AR through Snap. Instead of asking the user to scan a tracker or place an object, we relied on the camera's vision to recognise the Sphere from any angle in any lighting condition and automatically positioned a digital twin in its place. Then we created some David Copperfield style magic and made the Sphere disappear! A word-of-mouth sharing strategy made sure the lens got the attention it deserved! We didn't want what happened in Vegas to stay in Vegas however, so we also made an AR Sphere inspired at-home experience too. Pop open the toy capsules, have a play with each of the different toys, and our favorite part, make a giant ball pit in your room where you could actually push the capsules around and watch them bounce off your physical surface!
